I am lazy and I own it. I actually enjoy working out; however, the effort needed to get up always escape me. After talking to a friend about her new nifty scale, I decided to purchase the RENPHO Body Fat Smart scale.
The RENPHO scale tracks everything. I still do not understand how it accurately tracts my protein, water percentage, etc. The most shocking percentage was my VISCERAL FAT. I never heard of visceral fat before but it was in red. Per diabetes.co:
Visceral fat is body fat that is stored within the abdominal cavity and is therefore stored around a number of important internal organs such as the liver, pancreas and intestines. Visceral fat is sometimes referred to as ‘active fat’ because research has shown that this type of fat plays a distinctive and potentially dangerous role affecting how our hormones function.
My visceral fat was a whooping 19%. I thought I would die any second – I tend to be dramatic. OMG I am in really bad shape.
I cried, felt bad for myself, then jumped on my Bowflex.
